Yes U r right about the problems listed by u .
But It seems U missed the point I tried to raise in my column/
This is about the well-designed cultural invasion of India by the West. Shilpa is playing into the hands of these forces. Probelsm at home can be tackled only when there is no outside interference or attemps to change the culture of our country.
As We see it everyday, the youths of the country have already taken to jeans and all that in a big way.
There is little dopubt that Gere and his sponsors want to promote kissing in public in India kjust like the West.
East cannot be West. Whenever two different , opposing cultures meet there is bound to be a clash sooner or later.
I think every Indian, who is patriotic , must oppose such Westyern onsalughts which are taking place from time to time.
